Mo Sewer Line Camera Inspection

Reason to get a sewer line camera inspection

When buying a home, it is wise to get a sewer camera inspection, especially on a home/building with older sewer lines.  This can save you thousands of dollars in future repairs by discovering any hidden problems, before the purchase is completed on your home,

How a sewer line camera works

During a sewer camera inspection, the inspector inserts a flexible rod into the piping.  At the tip of the rod is a high-definition video camera.  The flexible rod moves the camera through the pipe, while simultaneously returning a video signal to a monitor.  The device then inspects the entire length of the pipe and digitally records the inspection for evaluation by the inspector.

A radio transmitter located within the camera records the exact physical location of any obstructions or defects in the pipe.  This allows the inspector to accurately discover any potential issues not commonly found during a normal home/building inspection.

Problems identified with a sewer line camera inspection

A sewer inspection camera can isolate virtually any type of issue or problem within your sewer line.  The following are the most common defects a sewer line inspections will uncover:

  • Cracked, broken or collapsed pipes
  • Tree roots growing inside a pipe
  •  Sagging sewer lines
  • Pipe obstructions
  •  Build of deposits inside sewer lines
